It is my understanding that the option to start at the beginning of any live show on some cable systems is very popular.
With these 3 terabyte drives and possibly a jump from 6 to 10 tuners you should be able to give this capability to at least a few designated channels in Prime Time. You could opt to record ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX continuously on prime time plus late night which would cover all overtime football.
If you wanted that as an option that would make the high price tag make much more sense than just giving you a massive amount of storage.
