Anyone in the TWCNYC area as frustrated as me that TiVo cannot show proper guide information for the MSG Network overflow channels? Meaning MSG2 and MSG+2? These channels are used only when the existing MSG and MSG+ channels are already being used to show other local sports teams.
I opened up a ticket and told them their channels (326 & 327) were showing generic "Local Sports" info 24/7 and none of the occasional programming guide info that was there. I have the set top box from TWCNYC as well, and 326 and 327 are listed as MSG2HD and MSGPL2HD:

However, what TiVo shows for that same time period is this:

It makes it difficult to record anything on these channels. It would have to be done manually, but then the titles would be wrong and you couldn't include this in your saved searches, etc. TiVo responded saying that their contact at TWCNYC says it's correct and that there's nothing they can do about it because it's not a channel owned by MSG but a channel owned by TWCNYC. That makes little sense to me. Yes, I understand that TWCNYC "owns" the channel and they provide the overflow programming when there is programming - but if the guide data is available, why would TiVo not be able to pick up on it? DirecTV, for example, has no issue picking up programming guide info for these channels (635-2 & 635-3):

I wrote Eric from the lineup team again and once again they said that TWCNYC says that the info it "right" and they cannot do anything about it. Since when is TWCNYC able to force TiVo's hand into obtaining guide data? Why is DirecTV able to obtain this guide info that TiVo cannot?
This is frustrating and even if it doesn't affect people who don't watch those channels - sports programming is a big deal to me and in NYC when you have a billion teams where overflow channels are needed, you should be able to accommodate that if DirecTV can. I really don't understand TiVo's explanation and would love someone to explain to me why they can't get this info because TWC won't permit them to change it? Just makes no sense when other providers can get the info.
I guess I'm not so much trying to find a solution at this point since TiVo seems adamant about not being able to get this data, even after being shown DirecTV can - and maybe I'm just venting a little. Misery loves company - does anyone else watch these channels in the NYC area and if so, have you attempted to try to record anything on these channels?
I will vent a little frustration, though - that each time I've opened up a TiVo lineup issue ticket (3 times over the last year and a half) - the first time seems to go ignored and I get a message saying that it's been resolved when it has not. I then reopen it, which will then make them actually respond. It almost feels like a tactic to shoo you away. LOL!
