I was previously renting a Comcast cable box along with two cable cards, but I have returned the cable box and now only have the two cable cards, one for each of my two Tivo units. So, I've gone from three outlets down to two outlets, but I'm still being charged for two "additional" outlets. Doing a general search and looking through the Comcast forums, it seems that my first cable card should not be charged as a "additional" outlet, since it's the main, primary outlet which should be included as part of my base package.
I've been calling them about it for the past two billing cycles and they claim they will remove the second "additional" outlet charge, but after I get off the phone it doesn't happen.
I know this is more of a Comcast question than a Tivo question, but I though some of you might have some experience with and insight into this issue.
Am I correct in my understanding that the first cable card used as the only primary outlet (with no cable boxes at all), should not be billed as an "additional outlet"? If that is the case, does anyone have any tips or terminology to use on the phone with Comcast to make sure my bill is corrected once and for all?
