"Secrets and Lies" and "Fresh off the Boat" renewed

"Fresh off the boat", great..

I thought "Secrets and Lies" was intentionally a mini-series.. How the heck can they continue it, especially with Philippe? If they continued with Juliette Lewis on a different case, I could sort of it see it..
