So I had them switch off my DirectV service a couple weeks ago. Before the deadline I unplugged both satellite feed and network so the box would not get the update.
So far (2+ weeks later), I'm still able to watch the old shows without an issue. However today I received an letter from DirectV requesting their access card back. When I remove that from the Tivo, the ability to play back the old shows goes away.
Anyone know what happens if you don't send the access card back? I have read the support agreement and it could be expensive, but anyone have any experience with this?
