For the first time I signed up for a cable last week, to try using the Roamio and to get faster streaming than ATT gave before. I loathe the cable company more than ATT phone company. Cable Installers put in new, better-located jacks in the house to minimize coax cables chaos from when I was just a OTA user. I'd like to go _back_ to OTA with at least 2 of my Premieres (will get a cheaper mom&pop cable provider for just the Roamio) BUT I'd have to convert those cable lines to antenna lines. If it's all coax outside anyway, can't I just have the newly installed lines and connect them to the antennae line? [I have a digital antenna atop my house with a long coax cable running down to a hot mess of wires near my breaker box and outdoor cable splitter housing unit dealie thing.] If not, how would I make those new "cable" jacks become "OTA" jacks? Sorry if this was already discussed--newbie here. Thanks in advance for any tips, folks!
