When I upgraded to a Roamio, I moved my Premiere by unhooking it from the AV system (using a WiFi bridge) and plugging it directly into my FiOS router. At first I could see it in my device list. At some point I rebooted something - probably the router, and ever since, it has been maddeningly unavailable. Other devices directly plugged in are assigned IP addresses and are discoverable, so I don't see what the issue is.
I can see three TiVO welcome screens when I type IP addresses identified as "TiVO" by my phone's IP scanner app. When I go into the Roamio settings I get one address. When I go into my phone's TiVO app settings for the Roamio, I get a different IP. Is that one IP for the TiVO at large, and one IP for the streamer? I see a 3rd IP address which shows up in my Mini settings.
The Premiere is just "grayed out" in my Roamio "My TiVO" menu. I'd like to move some items off of there, but most importantly, I'd like to get access to it's content on my network from my Premiere and Mini. I've rebooted it, etc. to no avail. The frustrating thing is it used to work fine when I first moved it.
Also, I've lost my router password, so I am disinclined to reset it, as it would probably hose things up for some extremely difficult to set up WiFi bridges. It was holy terror getting them configured, and I really don't want to go through that again if I can avoid it. I'm hoping it's something simple.
My TiVO desktop software no longer sees it either, but I don't know if that's just limited to seeing one TiVO only, or if there's something else going on there. Because of it's location, the Premiere is no longer hooked up to a TV.
My system is a home built Win 10 / i7 6 core / plenty of RAM, etc. PC and directly cabled to the same router the Premiere is cabled to. Mini and Roamio are connected through MoCA, which is also sourced through that same router.
Any ideas? I'm thinking of plugging it into a HDMI cable just to see if it can be played, but that really doesn't solve my problem.
