A couple observations about dialogue in the episode:
-Dom's (Grace Gummer) assistant referenced a dream about a person in a surgical mask. This may have something to do with the people on the train from the previous episode. I had previously believed this was from "trash" piling up, but maybe not.
-"White Rose" (or whatever identity you'd call this) asked about "what the world would be like if 5/9 never happened" ... I've been beginning to wonder if there's a theme of our characters becoming aware that they are participants in a piece of fiction. This may sound like a dumb premise, but I'm wondering if one of the show's overall story arc's will be about the character's "hacking" the 4th wall, or if they each have some form of mental disorder. I've seen other clues on this before (such as Angela and "You were only born a month ago" or "You're not Elliot) and most recently Mr. Robot's lines about Elliot being a Messiah/Prophet, which was later followed by Elliot's line in his anti-religion rant about deities being stars in someone's poorly written Sci-Fi plot. It's almost as though we're drawing themes from The Truman Show now.
-Joanna Wellick's associate asked "why, so we can protect some kid in a hoodie?" which leads me to believe she has worked with Elliot more than we know.
