Here is my current set up.
TWC cable and internet is fed through a distribution block outside the 2 story house. There us a POE filter on the hot side off the block. I have 3 lines coming from the block.
Line #1 goes to the upstairs office for the cable modem. There is a MoCa adapter at the cable modem that feeds to the Roamio and Mini.
Line #2 goes down stairs to the Roamio. The Roamio is connected to the internet via MoCa.
Line #3 goes to the upstairs master bedroom and is connected to the Mini via MoCa.
I would like to cancel my TV service and retain internet through TWC. I have purchased a Roamio OTA and Rooftop antenna, and plan on using the Mini in the master bedroom with this setup.
What would my best option be in getting this all working?
Right now I am thinking that I should have a dedicated line for the TWC internet going to the upstairs modem and a dedicated line from the antenna to the Roamio OTA. It's difficult, but I could then run a Cat5 cable from the upstairs modem to the Roamio OTA and set the Roamio up as a MoCa bridge to feed the upstairs Mini.
Am I missing something (an easier solution) that wouldn't require fishing cables? My current setup has 1 coax connection at each device.
