Fun look back at the disaster that was the XFL in 2001. I think I remember watching pretty much the whole season. (Hell, football in the spring? Why not watch?) It seems the failure was due to a combination of things - some really bad luck, over-hype, and absolute contempt from the media. Or maybe the games just sucked that bad. Whatever it was, the ratings absolutely plummeted from week-to-week until it became the lowest-rated Sat night show in tv history or something like...
