Tivo HD no longer compatible

I have been having a lot of problems lately with my Tivo HD. When I called tech support to get help they said that the HD's are no longer compatible with the newest software and that is what is causing my problems. They said I need to buy one of the newest units, the Bolt, if I want to continue to use Tivo's services.
