Possible Cause of V58 Error with a Motorola M Card

I'd been having trouble with my Roamio Plus getting the infamous V58 error message on certain channels that I watch a lot over the last several weeks.



Yesterday, two techs from Suddenlink came out while the issue was occurring and tried everything except swapping out the card. They finally called Tivo tech support and learned from them that, if your signal strength is too high (mine was 100%) and if your signal to noise ratio is much above 35-38, the Tivo unit will display this message on certain channels.



They stepped down my signal strength to the low 90s using a splitter and the signal to noise ratio went down to 38-39 and my V58 problem has not occurred since then.
