Disconnecting cablecard from Roamio??

While I am very pleased with the Roamio, I am less pleased with Mediacom's HD PQ, pauses and video/audio glitches. And they don't have near as many HD Premium channels nor much in the way of some sports. So I think I'll go back to satellite though which one is not certain yet. I am leaning to Dish as the Hopper GUI is a joy to use.

If I cancel Mediacom I would return the cablecard and just use the Roamio for the streaming services. But how do I get rid of all the Mediacom remnants after I cancel and is there any reason I can't use the Roamio as a streaming manager only?
