I've been experiencing a number of problems with my installation of PLEX and it's connection with the PLEX servers, and the ability of "friends" and "users" to access my PLEX Media Server from remote (but not local) locations.
Can anyone confirm, or provide details of what is currently affecting Plex, and the plex.tv website?
The problems I'm encountering at this time, and for the past 3 or 4 days, include the following:
1. The PLEX support forums are not available
2. While friends and family members with "Friend" and "User" accounts can make local connections on my home network to my Plex Media Server, they, and I, are encountering sporadic difficulties with connections from remote locations over the internet.
3. Invitations to new "friends" and "users" can be sent, and they are being received and accepted, but they are not being authenticated by Plex and continue to be displayed as "Pending", even 4 days after accepting their invitations.
Before the forums became unavailable there were reports from other experiencing what is described in items 2 and 3 above, which hadn't been responded to by anyone from Plex.
Any information regarding such problems, and information as to when the problems might be fixed would be greatly appreciated.
Vent: I love Plex, but their hands on support of their product is extremely lacking. I feel sorry for people who receive invitations to join someone's Plex Media Server with the resulting need to login and create an account at plex.tv leaving them asking "Now what? I have an account, but there are no instructions or guidance as to how to proceed."
