My TiVo Premiere appears to be failing. I'll have to check, but I think it is a few months out of warranty. I was considering buying a Roamio (the Plus and Pro don't support ATSC should I need it, so they're a non starter).
1) Can I get the MSD (Multi-Service Discount) annual plan (pay for the full year up front) and then cancel the failing Premiere's service? TiVo.com says that if you cancel, the new one goes to full price...but, would that be after the year that has already been paid or would they try to bill for the difference between the MSD and normal price?
2) I could still watch the shows on the old device even if I cancel?
3) How long does TiVo take to ship if you buy directly? I would buy from Amazon (1 or 2 day shipping) or Best Buy ($10 more, but no shipping time) if the shipping time is excessive.
