Setup:
I have my marantz amp sitting on an open cabinet shelf (it does not run that hot)
Next I have the TW tuner adapter sitting on top of the Marantz amp.
The tivo (basic being swapped today for a plus)
When I went to take the card out of the tivo I was amazed how hot it was. The card was almost to hot to handle.
Does your TW TA run this hot? I don't want to cook the tivo above it
Or does the tivo run hot too and the TA is just making it worse?
For now I turned the TA on its side and stood it up in the left side of the cabinet. Does your TA have an annoying light that continually blinks yellowish green? I just put a piece of black electrical tape over it.
Posting pics of the stacking below but short of installing a noisy fan in the open cabinet or more shelves are there some type of feet or separators available that I can stick onto the tivo and still stack get some air around my equipment as the heat will shorten their lives?
In the past I've stacked a couple of those quarter sized rubber stick on furniture or equipment circles from lowes, but they don't stay together from the heat too when ever I have to move the equipment.
Does the Plus run hot too or was it the hot TA transferring its heat to the tivo above?
