Recordings having a difficult time starting with English audio?

So I noticed this last week with Survivor and now again this week on another episode of Survivor. When I start the episode I get the first frame of the recording and then it just pauses or freezes. I back out and go to any other recording and those all start. I go back to Survivor and it's the same pause. If the program info menu is displayed The rating and the Audio Track icon will blink and if you pay close attention to the image on the screen it has a flicker like it's bouncing between 2 frames. Trying to use skip doesn't do anything except give the incorrect(whatever you call it) tone sound nor does using fast forward. The episode just won't start until it decides it wants to which last week took about 5 minutes to do after I let it sit on the screen. This week after 10 minutes it still wouldn't start so I tried something new. I tried switching the audio to see what would happen since it was the icon blinking. If I switch the audio track over to Spanish the recording starts immediately after I do the switch. Does anyone have an idea of what this could be and how to fix it?
