Roamio hard drive issues

Our Tivo apparently "died" on us one week ago. It was working in the morning and by the evening there was no video. I pulled the power and rebooted the Tivo. The result was the starting up screen showing for just a few seconds and then back to a dark screen with nothing showing. After reading some forums posts and watching some Youtube videos, I purchased a new drive (1TB Western Digital model) and installed it in the Roamio. Powered it on, verified that the new hard drive was spinning and nothing... Saw on an article that it might take up to 30 minutes for the Roamio to load the software on the new drive. Left it over night to do its thing, rebooted the next morning... still nothing.

Any advice on further troubleshooting?
