TIVO Mini will not connect by MOCA

Setting up my first mini by MOCA. I have the quantum Actiontec router with MOCA. I tried to connect the mini by MOCA with no luck. Would not find connection. I was able to connect by an Actiontec MOCA bridge which connected immediately and is working using the Ethernet setting on the mini. Any idea what to try to make direct MOCA work?
