Why don't I see 1080P signal on cable channels?

Why is there no standalone 1080p signal setting (just a pass-through) on these minis? I have a 1080p OLED LG tv and annoyed why am I not able to get 1080p signal? I have fios and the bolt is showing 1080p in my other room. The fios quantum boxes are able to output 1080p.

Did I miss this shortcoming somewhere? I know the mini's can handle 1080p (from Amazon, netflix, hbogo).
