DD5.1 not working correctly

I've had an issue with DD5.1 for a few months now. Basically, if I'm watching something on the Roamio (e.g., cable channel, recording, or Xfinity On Demand) and then turn on my soundbar system, the box sends stereo audio to the soundbar. Only after I change the channel does DD5.1 get sent over. Has anyone noticed this problem? I know there've been various reports about "audio dropouts" in this forum in the recent past, but has anyone else with Xfinity experienced this same problem as me?
