I have an iPhone 6 with the latest version of the Tivo iOS app. I also have the 4 tuner Tivo Roamio that works with cable and OTA as well as a Tivo Mini. I do not have a Tivo Stream and I am not trying to watch video on my phone.
I used to frequently use the iOS Tivo app on my iPhone 6 and iPad 4 to search for new shows and create one passes for them. I would also use it to schedule recordings for sporting events if I wasn't going to make it home in time. Since I got the Rovi update this no longer works when I am outside of my home.
If I hit the guide button on my phone it says "no channels found." If I hit the My Shows tab none of my recordings are listed. Same thing goes for my To Do List and my OnePass Manager. All of this stuff used to work properly before the Rovi update. I have tried logging out of my Tivo account and logging back and with no success.
One thing I just noticed is that the "more" tab shows that my selected Tivo box is Master Bedroom. This is my Tivo Mini. When I click this Living Room (Roamio) doesn't show up as an option.
My Roamio and Mini are both connected to my network by ethernet. I have watched Netflix and MLB.tv on my Roamio since this started so I know its internet connection is working properly.
The strange thing is that if I use the iPhone or iPad Tivo app while they are connected to my home WiFi they work the way they always have. It's just when I am outside my home network that I have this problem. Unfortunately this doesn't do me much good since the greatest benefit of the app is being able to create OnePasses and schedule recordings when I am away from home.
