So I gave my father my old TivoHD with lifetime sub on it 2 years ago.
2 months ago it started to experience frequent reboots during the day.
Troubleshooting done so far:
If its not the hard drive and its not the power supply, is there anything else to check or replace on the motherboard that can save the lifetime sub?
2 months ago it started to experience frequent reboots during the day.
Troubleshooting done so far:
- Remove the cablecard and it hardly ever reboots. Keep cablecard in, reboots a few times a day. Replaced cablecard from cable co, still reboots.
- Replaced capacitors on power supply. Still reboots.
- Bought a known working TivoHD for parts and used its powersupply, still reboots. This power supply works just fine in the donating unit (but that motherboard obviously doesn't have a lifetime sub on it)
- Put back in stock hard drive (it had a 1GB upgraded drive put in 3 years ago), still reboots.
- Put known working hard drive in from purchased "parts" unit, still reboots.
- Did a clear and erase (whatever the full reset is to rerun guided setup) twice, still reboots
