So I'm chasing a football game recording last night, maybe a minute or two behind live, and all of a sudden I get to the end of the recording, i.e., Delete or Keep. WTF? It's the third quarter and I added an extra hour to the recording. Of course I missed some key plays before I could switch to the live channel and of course good old TiVo doesn't preserve the buffer on the channel when a recording stops as technically there isn't a buffer.
Then I also noticed that I had a movie recording on another channel and it too stopped prematurely.
Anyone have an idea what would cause the TiVo to do this? There was no power problem and even if there was, it's on a ups. Would a split second loss of cable signal cause recordings to cease?
