Well, the Comcast and AT&T fight to prevent the FTC from enacting a new ruling that allows third party providers of cable boxes, is moving to a showdown. The FCC will be voting on the proposal on September 29th, 2016. Here's a short article that explains how the battle is likely to go down. No mention of TiVo as a player.
