My original Roamio Basic (now 3 years old,) just recently began continually restarting. It makes it through the bootup screens, to the main menu, and I can even watch live TV, shows, etc. But, after 5-10 minutes, it will automatically restart and just repeat the process. I bought a new [external] power adaptor, but that didn't change anything. I removed the HDD (Western Digital Green) and did the Western Digital "Long" test in data lifeguard with no errors. Anything else that I can try?
If not, my next question is about how I can best get my hundreds of hours of shows off that box and onto another, assuming I have to go out and buy a Bolt, for instance? If I get ahold of another Roamio Basic, can I just plop the drive in it and be able to watch my shows?
