Stop new channel lineup from being added for OTA

On two occasions I have received a message that the channel lineup for my provider has changed. New channels have been automatically added to my lineup. The thing is, I am OTA only, so both times all the channels added were channels I could not receive from my antenna... however it adds them to the "channels you receive" list (or whatever it is called) automatically. This appears that it could mess up my scheduling if shows attempt to record on these channels instead of channels I am able to receive before I am able to go in and disable them.
Is there a way to stop TiVo from new stations to the "channels you receive" list?
