Out of home streaming does not work on my brand new bolt.

I have spent days and many hours with tivo support. When did tivo customer service become so awful? Tivo even had me exchange my bolt and still out of home streaming does not work. IOS devices fail to connect to tivo outside of home network. I am contemplating going back to my roamio. Is this problem also happening to roamio users?
