I left a Tivo Slide Remote Control at home while traveling for three months with the original batteries still in it and when I got back the batteries had corroded and foamed all the way into the upper part of the remote and out the upper seam. It was upright in a stand and looked like somebody had spilled ice cream over the top. I cleaned the + terminals and the battery compartment but with new batteries the remote does not work; makes a continual tone sound.
Has anyone ever figured out how...
