Strange behavior with fast forward - Roamio

Just noticed this recently, maybe 2 weeks ago, that sometimes, when fast forwarding (2nd speed) the frame rate of the fast forward is choppy, like while in FF mode you only see about 2 or 3 frames per second.

This does not happen with all recordings. Also, if the FF is choppy and I advance to the 3rd speed and then back to the 2nd, then it is normal. Rewinding is always normal.
