I know you can pull videos off of a Roamio using tivo desktop but for some reason they keep getting "interrupted" or just fail. Sometimes not. Can I use a network or usb cable from my laptop to the back of the Roamio and do a download that way? Do I still have to use tivo desktop software or can I just see the hard drive videos as if it was an external drive to my laptop?
Using the tivo desktop via a wireless (which by the way is running at almost 20meg download speed according to speed tests) is a joke as it sometimes works and then not....very unstable and this is on three different machines. A desktop and two laptops....all experience the same flakyness
