If you read the full article, I personally think the whole problem comes down to this: NBC's Sunday Night Football has become a gigantic ratings juggernaut that pretty much wipes out other Sunday night programming during the NFL regular season unless you're a fan of the NFL. No wonder why the all the other networks wait until after the end of the NFL season to put their showcase programming on Sunday nights--including HBO's very successful Game of Thrones.
