I just got a Roamio OTA and finished aiming the antenna. I was testing signal strengths and once I aimed the antenna optimally, I tested the strength again and got a couple weak stations that weren't coming in before.
One of them in particular (Channel 21.1, KUNU-LD out of Victoria, real RF channel 28, though my antenna is aimed to San Antonio) comes in with a signal strength of about 40. But the worst part is, when I tune to that channel, the tuner stops working, apparently until reboot. This happened three times in a row. No other channels will come in; no other signals are picked up. (It's not happening when I tune to any other station.) Rebooting the box "fixes" it but that's an unacceptable solution. This isn't a station I ever plan to watch but I could accidentally wind up tuning it at some point and causing it to stop working.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I suppose it could be a defective tuner, but I'm not sure if it's that or maybe some system software glitch. And if so, has anyone found a workaround to prevent themselves from ever tuning to such a station, especially one they don't care about anyway?
