Foolish ? question

So my RCA DVR 80 died and now have my THR22 set up and networked.

The question,

I have a hard drive enclosure that allows me to connect a HD to my computer.

Can I connect the HD from my old DVR to my computer and transfer contents to my THR22 via the network?
