Powerline Adapters Screwup

First of all, my Tivo Premier is hooked up to my router via two power lines, one into the router, and one into the Tivo. I've never had a problem with it.

Two days ago I added a third power line to my laptop. I didn't know exactly what I was doing, so I just plugged it into my laptop and pushed the pair button.

Ever since then, I cannot get my Tivo to hook up to the internet for downloads.

I took the power line out of my laptop. I disconnected the first two power lines and paired them up again and replaced them into the router and Tivo.

If I have the power line into the actual Tivo, it says the network cable is loose (or something to that affect). I then made sure it was a good fit. No dice.

Then I took the power line out of the Tivo and put it into the back of my Smart TV (not sure where it was originally, my husband can't remember how he set it up the first time and he doesn't know much about electronics either). The TV is connected to the internet, no problems. But when I tried to connect the Tivo to the Network via the Smart TV ethernet plug in, I get the message that there is no DHCP and that I am not connected to the internet. All this because I tried to put a power line into my laptop. It has turned into a nightmare.

Any ideas? (Remember, baby talk here, I don't know much about electronics.)

Thanks for your time.

Rita
