Been looking into various apps for a backup solution. No requirements to convert files, etc. Just backup..
1- Requirements are to automatically pull new shows from Tivo to PC .
2- Manage older backup files semi automatically
3- Capability to restore backups to Tivo if needed.
Tivo Desktop looks like the a very basic app as long as none of the KMTTG, pyTivo, etc. enhanced features are required.
My QUESTION is for item 2 on my requirements, If I set the Auto-Transfer option to two (2) episodes, will it delete the oldest backup copy on the PC when it sees a third (newer) show to be Auto-transferred. I'm looking for a set and forget solution with as little manual intervention needed. Trying to avoid having to go into the saved show files and delete old shows. Backup of the latest 2 episodes of a show would be sufficient, maybe 3 if we don't get to watching for a while.
