Hello All,
Like many of you, I decided to skip the cox $9/box charge and plan a Cablecard system. I've got the main entry point in to my home directly under my main TV and plan to use an XL4 tuner there. I also have the coax split, sent to a booster and then out to different ports in my house where I would like to use tivo minis. I have 5 cable cards (I think I only need 1) and 5 cisco tuning adapters from cox. My question is, do I need to use the tuning adapter since these devices are all moca ready? Also are there any other considerations for my planned setup? I actually wanted to buy an XL4 that I saw for sale here in the classifieds since I cannot seem to find what I need on ebay without getting in a bidding war while I'm at work but alas, I can't even PM anyone without 10 posts. *sigh* Anyway, I look forward to meeting some of you. I used to dabble in FTA a few years ago and their community was great. I have no doubts this community is the same from what I've read.
