Something I hadn't given much thought to before, but Tivo uses the net for searches?
Last night, I was looking for an upcoming showing of 1941. When I typed it in, I got an error code (can't remember it), and all of the streaming channel banners greyed out. Pop up said function would be back shortly. (My TiVo has a MoCA connection).
I just happened to notice that my internet/cable phone service had gone out. A few minutes later it was back, and so was my search function.
I've always assumed that all that info was stored somewhere in the box. Does TiVo sometimes have to return to the mothership during a search?
