Stuck between TS (Rock) & PS (hardplace)

I've been downloading everything in TS, then using VRD to decrypt, edit, and save as h.264 in mkv container. I started seeing "glitches" in the transferred recordings. Switched to PS downloads and glitches went away. The problem is that PS downloads from some channels (notably ABCFHD and DXHD) have garbled captions.

Anyone else seeing these problems?
