Tivo automatically adds channels

I guess this is a rant. Why does Tivo automatically add channels to my channel list? I get the message that a line-up has changed and there it is in my channel list! I have to delete it every time. I find other channel added as well. It is a pita to have to do this. There should be a option to add this channel if wanted. I also think there should be a hot key to add or delete channels from the channel you are watching instead of the cumbersome of going to settings etc.
Just my opinion. Is there something I'm missing here?
