Unexpected function

I flipped on the TV and Valkyrie was playing. I had been meaning to set up a rec., but kept forgetting.

The movie was already more than an hour in, so the buffer didn't extend back to the start. And there weren't any upcoming showings. I hit record anyway, and figured I'd watch how ever much of the movie there was.

When I got home, I found that Tivo had recorded the full movie from Starz Play. I don't even remember seeing that option when I hit record.

I was duly impressed. You can do that with DirecTV, but it requires you to go through a specific dialog.
