Possible TA problem

So the wife and I left on Thurs to visit our family. We got back today and found the switched channels were not working.

Though we are relatively new to Tivo, CC's, and TA's we've had this happen and at the advice of this forum reboot the TA when it happens (still need to set up a timer).

Regardless, today we got home to find the switched channels non-operational. We were tired and had traveled all day so we opted not to call TWC CC group today (all our shows tonight we cared about were on non-switched channels).

I did the usual diagnostic, unplug TA, wait for Tivo to respond, plug TA in, wait for Tivo to respond... no change. Next, unplugged both and after a couple min plugged in TA. Once TA light was solid plugged in Tivo... still nothing! I am still getting non-switched channels so I think CC is not at fault. The message on switched channels is:

Code:

"The channel is experiencing network difficulties.  Contact your cable provider for more information."
This is a MTR-700

The fault and warning report menus w/i the Tivo appear to be empty though I have no idea when they would come in handy.

I have a "CARRIER LOCK: YES" on TA diag downstream and a status of "ENABLED_IDLE" on upstream.

I plan on calling TWC tomorrow but any idea's? I assume solutions will have to come from TWC at this point but sort of interested as to why all of a sudden after ~2.5 months we lost switched channels.

EDIT: As I'm typing this I find I can no longer get non-switched channels like FX or TNT. The Tivo displays the messages above and continues to beep. ???

EDIT AGAIN: Unplugged TA and non-switched are back. Seems TA is sending Tivo into a weird downward spiral. I tried other USB port on Tivo and same result. I can get the non-switched channel until I change to a switched channel and switch back to the non-switched channel. Unplug TA or USB and its back.
