Due to some cutbacks at work, cord cutting is more of a viable option than ever. At least for now I was thinking of getting it back online for OTA recording.
Just a little history, I bought the Roamio in Oct 2015, used it into Summer of 2015 for OTA (OTA only model) and installed a 2TB HDD. So it has been down for 10 months or so. I see they have a new model which is 4K and has a lot of streaming options, neither of which are an issue for me as OTA is the important thing here. Seeing as I already have a large aftermarket drive installed, is there any reason to take a deal on the new model, vs reactivating the roamio basic?
