More than a year ago I had a problem where a triggered alarm on my ADT system would kill my landline, which is provided by my cable company (Charter, if it matters). ADT said they'd had repeated issues with certain telephony-enabled cable modems. Charter didn't think so, but on replacement the issue disappeared.
A few months ago I added a MoCA adapter to my cable modem and began using MoCA on my Roamio Plus and a newly purchased TiVo Mini. I've been remiss in not testing my alarm system, but I recently triggered it by mistake and found that canceling the alarm at the panel caused my phone to show "no line" as it had done before. Since I haven't tested or triggered my alarm any time since the adapter was added, I don't know that there's any direct correlation, but...
So I'm wondering whether any of those here with more knowledge of MoCA than I have are aware of any issues or potential issues with the use of MoCA and alarm systems that rely on a cableco-provided landline.
