pytivo aspect ratio all wrong when I send a movie

I set up pytivo a while back to pull video's off my tivo prior to a HD upgrade. Worked great.

Now I'm trying to send a few videos to my tivo and I'm having a bit of trouble with aspect ratio.

The movie (which is a .mp4) is showing an aspect ratio of 1920 x 704 when i look at the properties in windows.

If I stream it using one of my video streamers I get black bars top and bottom and the aspect ratio looks normal.

If I pytivo it to my tivo it fills the entire screen of my LCD tv and the picture looks a little tall. Definetly NOT the same way it looks when streamed.

Is there any way I can fix this?

I noticed this once before when trying to send a movie to my tivo but I wasn't really interested in this feature. Now I am and can't seem to get it to work correctly.
