Question for networking gurus.

Current set up in short: (and repeated eight times)
(Equipment Room) Cox Cable Internet Wifi/Modem/Router (Netgear 6300) -> 10/100/1GB Generic Hub -> Cat6 through walls -> (Media Room) 10/100/1GB Generic Hub -> Tivo(or Mini) Box.

The above works great as long as I have working cable connection.

Being in Kansas and storm season is upon us.. When I loose cable connection I lose my networked Tivo's! With a MINI as the main viewing device in the living room.

Is there anything I can add/change so that the Tivo's are not dependent on the cable box for my internal DHCP. Maybe something like a "PI" box (prefer something pre-built) to be my internal DHCP device.

I thought of maybe even setting a static IP address but.. when I unplugged the cable between the 'Cable Modem' and the first hub the network went down..

And due to the number of splinters and RF amp's a MOCA set up would not work as the signal is being blocked somewhere in my RF set-up.

Any suggestions?

((Not only do I have Tivo's at the final hubs I also have Blu-Rays, Smart TV's, computers))
