I was a pretty early adopter of TiVo. During that time the developer community and specifically PyTiVo was a huge part of the experience.
The extended functionality provided by these talented members of our community really made TiVo the powerful media solution it was.
Slowly (excruciatingly) TiVo integrated functionality that replaced more and more of the reasons I used these third party solutions. With the addition Plex and these tools I finally stopped using PyTiVo - and I feel really bad about that.
I still wish TiVo would natively view a local file server and present it as a MRS TiVo repository. Or simply allow the developer community to modernize the existing functionality.
I haven't tried Stream Baby, although I hear it is both streaming and a good presentation - maybe I should.
I guess my point is - thanks to the developer community for everything you did to make TiVo the product I have enjoyed all these years.
