TivoHD Mpeg4 update?

There was a rumor on "Zatz Not Funny!" some months back, that the TivoHD
actually did have mpeg4 compatible hardware, and that Tivo was working
on a software update.

I've heard nothing since. Does anyone know anything about this rumor?
