Anyone watching?
Third season started this past Sunday along with a second hour called 'Happily Ever After?', looking at some of the more notorious pairings from previous seasons.
I guess it interests me as I came over on a K-1 visa nearly 19 years ago and still happily married with virtually no drama at all. It's amazing to me that some of these people are so unprepared for any kind of relationship, let alone one that has the cultural differences involved is bringing someone here from Tunisia, Morocco or even Mexico, Brazil or Colombia!
The worst one, IMHO is Danielle and Mohammad. She's 43, overweight, has three kids and not exactly good looking and he's 28, Muslim and fit with washboard abs! It was a no-go from the start and it's no surprise that he got his green card after 14 months of marriage and was gone two months later! The previews for next week show a good looking blonde in Miami and, by all accounts, he moves down (from Sandusky, OH) to live with her, followed by Danielle, who is still (stupidly) trying to save the marriage or get him deported. She'd do well to file for divorce and get on with her life without him!
There are some obvious money-grabbers from Russia, Ukraine, Viietnam or the Philippines including one girl in the current season who's already reset the guy's iPhone and locked him out of his own email, all because he wouldn't buy her a $10,000 Chanel purse! He bought a brand new Audi R8 and went to the airport to pick her up and she didn't even like the car, not to mention the fact that he had to call a cab to take the luggage as it wouldn't fit. Not sure who's the dumber of these two so far!
Lots to talk about if you're interested in this kind of thing. Obviously a lot of manufactured drama, but fun just the same.
