Roamio (direct from TiVo) not activated?

Hello everyone,

I bought a Tivo Roamio a few weeks back to replace an outdated, older TiVo. I experienced enough issues with the Roamio that TiVo agreed to replace it with another Roamio. It took nearly a month to receive the replacement Roamio and tonight after going through the "guided setup" the replacement Roamio says it is not "activated." My new Roamio is connected via ethernet, (not WiFi) and is currently showing live TV, seems to have allowed me to schedule the recording of a single future episode of a TV show, but will NOT allow a OnePass, telling me that it is not "activated."

Of course, support is closed so I hit the internet and searched and looked and perused many, many different threads on how I might get my replacement Roamio to work.

Yes, I tried to "activate" the new Roamio on the TiVo website, but it wants me to pay for another subscription, nope... then I found a place where I could put in the new Roamio's "number" but the website says I can't do that either. I have rebooted and forced connection to TiVo several times.

I have had TiVos for a VERY long time, but I have to admit, the service surrounding the purchase of my first Roamio a few weeks back and now this replacement Roamio is nothing short of horrible, just dreadful.

Why would TiVo send me a Roamio that seems to only be "half" activated? Tomorrow is Labor Day and I am betting Customer Service will be closed.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Sue
